Provides information and resources to efficiently serve students and staff; provides support services to the area coordinator and staff; assists with coordination of fire department training, prepares reports and assists in monitoring the area budget and other administrative functions as required.
The position gives support to the fire departments in the state of Kentucky where applicable, adhering in all functions to KCTCS policies and procedures and local, state, and national guidelines and regulations as applicable.
Job Duties:
Prepares and maintains documentation for reports, procurement card, and other purchases; monitors expenditures and budgets; serves as first point of contact for the area office; prepares and edits correspondence, documents and, emails; maintains files, assists with monitoring and maintaining area website and/or app, tracks student information; and maintains records.
Oversees submission of class rosters, assists instructors with preparing time sheets and travel vouchers, and reviews adjunct faculty applications for new instructors for accuracy and inclusion of required documentation Assists District Training Coordinator with scheduling training and trailers/props for classes, fire department training and fire schools, assists with regional fire schools and other events, proctors accredited certification written exams and submits documentation to the testing coordinator for grading; and submits payments to Fire Commission for processing.
Orders and maintains inventory of office and training supplies Maintains and organizes office calendar, assists District Training Coordinator with managing training center, mobile training props and fleet, and tracking maintenance of equipment and property.
Serves as receptionist, greets visitors via face to face and telephone, and provides Fire Commission related information when requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and 5 years of relevant experience Preferred
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience Additional Skills Requested:
Prefer accounting and business administration certificates with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Public Safety Emergency services operations knowledge is beneficial.
The individual must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, provide strong attention to detail, provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment, and possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be a team player.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
